SBX Fastpitch is proud to officially welcome Sophia Nugent as our first Pro Ambassador—a partnership that sets the foundation for what SBX stands for at the highest level of the game.

Sophia is a championship-tested catcher who has consistently performed on softball’s biggest stages. She developed within one of the most dominant programs in college softball at the Oklahoma Sooners, where she was part of two national championships, competing in an environment defined by pressure, precision, and an uncompromising standard of excellence.

She later brought that championship mentality to the Tennessee Lady Volunteers, where she caught the fastest pitcher in the history of the game and earned ALL-SEC honors. At the plate, Sophia delivered elite-level production, launching 18 home runs in the 2025 season alone—ranking among the top four single-season home run totals in Tennessee softball history.

Now competing professionally with the Florida Vibe, Sophia continues to define what leadership looks like behind the plate. Known for her toughness, elite game awareness, and commanding presence, she thrives in the biggest moments—consistently making the plays that change games.

Sophia’s alignment with SBX goes far beyond performance. She embodies the core values the brand was built on: discipline, preparation, accountability, and trust earned through work. She approaches the game with intention—studying, refining, and demanding more from herself every day. As SBX Fastpitch’s first Pro Ambassador, Sophia will compete with the SBX C2 Catcher’s Mitt, engineered for athletes who demand elite-level control, durability, and confidence in every pitch.
